MEGAN FATHARLY
Megan Fatharly is a British artist working with text, collage and hand-embossed tin.
Her practice centres around language and the emotional weight of everyday sentences. Through small phrases, reminders and observations, her work explores the thoughts people carry privately but recognise instantly when they see them written down.
Each tin piece is hand-embossed using traditional metalworking techniques, creating tactile lettering formed through slow, repetitive pressure. The process gives physical presence to words that might otherwise remain fleeting.
Alongside her studio practice, Megan runs workshops that introduce people to embossing and collage as accessible creative processes. Her work has been stocked and commissioned by institutions and retailers including the V&A, Fortnum & Mason and the Natural History Museum.
Through humour, honesty and carefully chosen language, her work offers small moments of recognition and connection.
