This is your last chance to see doodler Hattie Stewart’s first London solo show at KK outlet which closes this weekend. Full to the brim with One Direction Lenticular Hologram paintings, Neon Dolls House signs, doodle bombings, re appropriated graffitied and infinitely better Playboy magazine covers and insanely covetable customised ‘Good Girl Gang’ leather jackets. And let's not forget Paper Magazine’s revised Kim Kardashian cover, now a hologram, complete with colourful hearts flying out of her arse, in internet breaking drama.
In actual fact I think it is Hattie Stewart's Doll's House exhibition that will break the internet from so much tweeting after her brilliant and very cheeky show opened in east London at the beginning of the month. Certainly KK Outlet looked like it might break on the opening night from the amount of people who turned up. A testament to the self confessed doodler.
This London based illustrator, represented commercially by Big Active, has a remarkably vivid, colourful and very cheeky style that feel a lot like someone, usually a celebrity on the cover of a fashion magazine, has just been tangoed. Working across art, having exhibited in New York, LA, Berlin, Miami and London, and fashion, collaborating with the likes of House of Holland, Nike, Marc By Marc Jacobs and Adidas, her work seems to be everywhere at the moment. And rightly so.
This Brilliant exhibition is on at KK Outlet until the 28th February.
